The Jesuit Chess Team brought the full squad to the 2025 Oregon High School Chess Team Association (OHSCTA) State Championship and earned a strong 2nd place finish. This photo captures the full team together at the event... a great showing and another memorable year for Crusader chess.
Congratulations to the Jesuit Chess Team for their state championship win this weekend! After a challenging competition, the Varsity Chess Team (with the help of Mr. Al Kato, coach and adult leader) won first place in the 2024 Oregon High School Chess Team Association's (OHSCTA) State Championship. This championship win makes the team 4x State Champions!
Congratulations also to the Jesuit JV Chess Team, which placed first in the JV Championship Section! In addition, shoutout to Havish Sripada, Roshen Nair, Ishaan Kodarapu, and Conner Jensen, who received individual first place board awards in their respective sections.
